Aoshima 06130 1/24 Volkswagen Beetle 1303S (The Model Car No.73)

The VW Beetle, which debuted in 1938, was manufactured until 2003 with minor changes, and was loved all over the world. In 1971, the 1302 series was added, which changed the front suspension from the conventional torsion bar to the MacPherson strut system while keeping the basic design of the air-cooled horizontally opposed engine mounted in the rear. It is characterized by a bulging bonnet shape. In 1973, the 1303 series was changed to a minor one with a greatly curved windshield. The taillights were also enlarged. The 1303 was equipped with a 1300cc engine, and the 1303S was equipped with a 1600cc engine. The 1303 series was discontinued in 1975, and the torsion bar type continued to be produced after that, but the convertible was manufactured based on the 1303S until 1979.
