SBS Model SBS-S Z63 Scribing Tool
Main areas where it could be used:
- Panel line scribing with pushing the tool, engraving other depressions or separation lines
- Creating steps, overlapped panels on flat surfaces
- Widening holes, i.e. air intakes
- Cutting
- Removing flash from parts
- Thinning edges
- Carving
How to Use:
- Engraving line into sheet styrene:
1. Mark the line with pen or pencil.
2. Position the tool to the end of the line
3. Slowly, gently push the tool among the line without a ruler!
If you decrease the angle between the tool and the surface, you can create more delicate and sharper lines. If you increase the angle, the tool can wonder away from the line easier and cuts into the plastic more easier.
- Widening panel line, straightening wavy line:
1. Bank the tool to the side as shown on the drawing
If the angle is wrong then don't try to correct it during scribing, but start again from the beginning of the line.
NOTES:
- Metal ruler can ruin the edge of the tool!
- Use it free hand or along masking tape!
- The tool is made of high resistant, hard steel. Don't drop it, don't beat it against hard surfaces because it can break or the edge can get jagged. The broken, jagged tool can cause an accident!
- This set does NOT include any aircraft model kit.
ATTENTION:
- MAKE IT SURE THAT IT DOESN'T GET INTO THE HANDS OF CHILDREN UNDER AGE 15!
- VERY SHARP!
- This tool is made based a middle age weapon, "spade". The stabs caused by shape of the edges would heal hard so in case of an accident, ask for medical help!
