AK Interactive RC865 Real Colours Lacquer Based Paint - Military #Braun-Brown RAL 8020 (17ml)

AK's high-quality lacquer-based varnish boasts a superior chemical formula compared to other brands on the market. It flows smoothly in an airbrush, adheres to the surface effectively, and dries perfectly with a soft matte finish. It securely holds all kinds of weathering products. For optimal results, it can be diluted with AK701/AK702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners specifically designed for lacquer-based paints.

Used for painting vehicles and other equipment of the German Army in the so-called second tropical scheme (Tropen 2) intended for use in Africa and Crete from March 1942 until February 1943. According to the army regulations RAL 8020 should cover 2/3 of vehicle's surface, with the remainder being painted in RAL 7027.

Both the photographic and documentary evidence confirms that vehicles painted in tropical colours also found use on the Eastern Front.
