This is the soldier only and not the base. I made the mistake in buying the base from a company in the US which, unlike BNA, did not show that they were separate in their description. I bought the soldier after it arrived and I learned that I had bought the base only. The solider is very nice and I highly recommend it. I also recommend the base as well because it includes that US M1 helmet as a separate pice, not moulded to the base. That helmet is the absolutely best M1 that I have ever seen and ive been in the hobby since 1977. The liner webbing is all there so I suppose that this was 3D printed from a real helmet. Royal makes the helmet in 1/16 scale and does not include the base. Because it is so nicely made I bought another base just for the helmet. There are some other useful items on the base but sadly, it is moulded with some of the ammo boxes and other things cut off at an angle. If you buy the base please note one inaccuracy. While you have to paint the cigarette package and carton, you can use a paper printed of each from the D-Day Minitures brand set of the 82nd Airborne soldiers with the children mixing with the soldiers. But, note that to be historically accurate the carton should be painted a light brown only that was slightly waxed to waterproof it. But the individual packs that came in the carton were printed almost exactly as they were in the "Zone of the Interior" which means the part of the continent that is the United States. This you can use the D-Day printed paper printed in color. The reason I used the D-Day label and did not use one that I bought from Duplicata is that it represents a non military label which was significantly different. All together the figure and sepeate base are excellent!
