This is a magnificent kit for anyone that, like me, deeply admires the iconic AVRO Lancaster. I've always disliked kits with great interior detail that is just sealed away, forever, when you glue the two fuselage halves together. More kits should have the option of at least one clear side of the fuselage. This kit goes one better and showcases the full detail of the Lanc's cockpit and avionics bay, in fact, all the detail in the first third of the aircraft. It's a very clever presentation that, I believe is unique in this type of model.
It was a painstaking job of making sure the tiny detail (not so tiny in 1/32) was done correctly.
I benefited from searching the internet for real pictures of Lancaster interiors which turned out to be almost identical with the suggested details in this kit itself. I'm ex-RAAF so, of course, I did the RAAF version with the amusing quote from Goering on the port side nose art.
It would be fantastic if they could do a similar kit for the B-17 too. It's great value for the money and I couldn't be more happy with the end result. Cheers, BH
