Revell 04834 1/48 Sikorsky CH-53 GA Heavy Transport Helicopter
This is a plastic model kit, which comes unassembled and unpainted. So glue, model paints and other basic modelling tools are additionally required.
The German Air Force CH-53 GA is a CH-53G tailored to today's service requirements with many component improvements. The main features are an extended range using internal auxiliary fuel tanks, a satellite communication system, an all-weather FLIR visual system, an automatic take-off, land and hover ability, self-protection equipment and a new instrument panel. With this optimization program the CH-53 GA can be deployed interactively in units including the NH90 and Tiger. A total of 40 CH-53 G helicopters are being converted to this specification at Eurocopter in Donauwoerth, Germany. The largest helicopter currently serving with NATO has once again had its performance upgraded. The CH-53 G has proven its versatility and ability in recent years during numerous Bundeswehr Operations abroad as well as on many UN Missions. These included civil aid to flood victims, forest fire fighting, disaster relief and supply flights, in addition to normal transport and supply tasks.
