The aircraft were then taken over by the Luftwaffe during 1936 and assigned to schools and combat units (I/JG 232-Gruppe Loerzer in Bernburg).The type is known to be present in the FFS A/B 1,FFS A/B 8,FFS A/B 23 and LKS 1 in Kaufbeuern, Gorlitz or Kamenz, also in the FFS A/B 32 in Chrudim. In the school units Ar 76 A-0 usually flew with only one (right) machine gun, the firing channel of the second one was covered.It is likely that Ar 76 A-0 flew with FFS A/B 8 also in the Protectorate from Cheb,Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne and that they served until 1942-43.
