Thetis Models TM144-005 1/144 MACCHI M5 Fighter Seaplane 1917
3D printing resin kit and photo-etched in scale 1:144. The kit allows you to build the MACCHI M5 seaplane of the aces Pierozzi, Martinengo and Arcidiacono.
The MACCHI M5, a fighter seaplane developed at the request of the Royal Navy by Aeronautica Macchi, in collaboration with the French Nieuport, was one of the best aircraft in its category. It had excellent maneuverability and autonomy, which placed it on the same level as similar land aircraft, against which it was often used without suffering the traditional limitations of seaplanes. The MACCHI M5 was used mainly in the Adriatic from the summer of 1917 to the end of the war and was the aircraft of the Royal Navy aces Orazio Pierozzi (7 victories) and Federico Carlo Martinengo (5 victories). It was withdrawn from service at the end of the war.
