My following comments have are not addressed in anyway toward BNA Model World from whom I have been loyal customer for some time they are addressed towards this new Trumpeter Kit: TR 06715 1/700 USS Constellation CV-64 Kitty Hawk-class Supercarrier. As an avid FULL HULL ship modeler I feel I must say this. Trumpeter has gotten a bit too big for their britches and are taking on airs. They not only are they over-pricing their new releases but they are being coy and using subterfuge to hide the fact that all their new 1/700 ship kits are waterline only kits. All the other manufacturers like Academy, Aoshima, Fujimi and Meng are going the other way and producing beautiful 1/700 FULL HULL model kits. My advice is if you want Waterline buy Tamiya and go to town on aftermarket stuff. You will still spend 50% less than the new Trupeter releases. I realize this review will probably not see the light of day bu I hope the BNA reviewer discusses this with BNA management as many modelers like myself are complaining loudly about Trumpeter's new 1/700 ship offerings.
