Scale Modelling Manual Vol.13 WWII German Uniforms in Detail (24 pages)
This is the 13th Modelling Manual in our now well-established series about scale modelling, where our aim is to bring a lot of concentrated information about painting and general modelling techniques for all modellers at a competitive retail price.

Each manual offers a detailed approach to a specific topic, offering a lot of different approaches and techniques and, in most cases, is written by one author. The contents will be carefully selected and presented in a way that all readers should find something new to try and to adapt to their own methods. All books will have high quality photos and detailed texts, so readers can easily follow the progress of the assembly and painting of each theme, which will help to adopt new modelling techniques and different approaches.

In previous editions the length of each theme was limited due to the number of pages taken for other content, but here there are no such limitations. Each theme will be presented in a most detailed and explanatory manner so there will be no omissions or unanswered questions.

Depending on the themes and contents, real painted colour chips of hues and mixes will be added with information on how to use them. In this series we will include various modelling aspects from Historic and Fantasy, Scale Models, Dioramas, Vignettes, Figures, Busts, Techniques and History you can model.

In this issue we'll cover the detailed painting process of a large, 1/10 scale bust of from the well-known company Abteilung 502 (AK-Interactive). The master artist Roberto Del Cima explains in 22 pages, his painting process that includes how to use paintbrushes, the airbrush and a wet palette to paint the large scale bust of an Indian Soldier serving in Germany's "Free India Legion" during World War Two. All these are covered in 50 step-by-step large format illustrations that reveal all the techniques, tips, and effects on how to succeed in producing an award-winning creation of this very interesting subject.

We must thank the following: Vallejo Acrylics (Alex Vallejo and Jaume Ortiz Forns), Scale75 (Jose Mendez), Kimera Kolors (Luca Marchetti and Pietro Balloni), Lifecolor (Alessandro Balbo and Rolando Iezzi), Yannis Papadopoulos and our English Text Editor Ken Jones.

Special thanks must go to Roberto Del Cima who provided us with all the necessary material so this book could be released as a perfect painting manual.

Freies Indien Legion
How to Paint a Large Scale Bust of an Indian Soldier serving in Germany's "Free India Legion" during World War Two using an Airbrush and Brushes and a Variety of Lifecolor Acrylics Paints. This is a very cool and original bust from Abteilung 502 (AK-Interactive). The scale is 1/10th and it has lots of fine details with a lot of different materials and textures to paint. The bust was sculpted by Roberta Fontana and represents an Indian Soldier serving in Germany's "Free India Legion" during World War Two. It's cast in very good quality resin and the detail is excellent, and the parts are easy to clean up before painting. Roberto Del Cima used a combination of Lifecolor acrylics for brush and airbrush painting. The 50 step-by-step large format pictures reveal all the techniques, tips, and effects on how to produce an award-winning creation of a WWII German bust.
