Italeri 6175 1/72 Waterloo 1815 La Haye Sainte Barn
Scene of Napoleon's greatest defeat.
This barn was part of a walled farmhouse compound that's remained virtually unchanged since the Battle of Waterloo. On June 18, 1815, the compound was being defended by about 400 British and German troops against a numerically superior French force. They held the position until late afternoon, when their ammunition ran out. Had Napoleon's troops broken through earlier, they might have defeated the Duke of Wellington's army. However, the delay allowed the Prussian Army to arrive and help defeat Napoleon's forces. Made of laser-cut MDF with etched details. Requires vinyl glue.
Scale: 1:72
Skill Level: 2
Model Length: 10.6 in (270 mm)
