Revell 00516 1/8 Leonardo da Vinci: Glider
Leonardo da Vinci, probably the greatest universal genius of all time, died on 2 May 1519. Revell honoured the artist, anatomist and engineer with a selection of kits of his greatest inventions. The elaborate models made of the authentic material wood are partly movable and make it possible to get very close to Leonardo's groundbreaking ideas. With his flying machine, Leonardo wanted to construct a machine that would make it possible to fly like a bird. His study anticipated the ideas that we still find today in modern hang-gliders.
